Pumpkin Sago Khichdi
Ingredients
1 tbsp Sago (साबूदाना)
2 tbsp Moong Dal (मूंग दाल)
1/8 tsp cumin seeds (जीरा)
Chopped pumpkin (कद्दू)
1 tsp Ghee (घी)

Method
Clean and chop pumpkin after removing seeds
Take a pan and add ghee.
Add Cumin Seeds , once they splutter add chopped pumpkin.
Stir for 2 minutes on low flame.
Add Moong dal after discarding water.
Add water and cook until dal is cooked.
When dal is cooked add sago and cook for another 10 minutes.
Adjust the consistencey as per your childs age.
Sago Water for babies gives instant energy and easy to make. This can be also added to thicken purees.
Mango Flavoured sabudanan puree
Ingredients
Sago/ Sabudana/साबूदाना
Fruit of your choice अपनी पसंद का फल )mango, banana, carrots, etc)
Pinch of cinnamon चुटकी भर दालचीनी

Method
Rinse and sago for 4-5 hours in water.
Drain the water.
Add to the pot and mash lightly so cooking time is reduced.
Add water and let it cook for 10 minutes until sago is well cooked.
Keep stirring in between.
Cook until Sago is almost dissolved.
Strain through the strainer.
Add Fruits and vegetables of your choice.
