1. NS: Tell us something about you and your venture.
Reshma: Hi, I’m Reshma; an Engineer by profession and a housewife by choice! Managing the home and caring for children is what gives me bliss. I gave up my Marketing career in a printing firm when I had my first child. Soon after my child started going to school, I realized I had too much free time for myself. To keep myself busy I worked as a freelancer email marketing for few international firms. It was after the birth of my second child that I connected with the creative side of my persona. I started crocheting and loved making booties and frocks for babies. I have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/babybooties012 dedicated to that love of mine.
2. NS: When did you first start your venture and how did the idea come about?
Reshma: Sewing and making dresses for dolls was one of my hobbies during my childhood. My mom told me, once I had cut an umbrella cloth and sewed a dress for my Barbie when she returned home from work. Though sewing inspired me, I was not sure of buying a sewing machine. I casually got a basic machine a year back to do some second stitch on children’s cloth. Searching for materials online I got introduced to a lovely group who then inspired me to make lovely bags I make.
3. NS: What are the positive qualities you have which makes you successful women?
Reshma: I am very dedicated to the work at hand. I don’t stress on anything much and I like to preplan and organize my work. Quality of my product is of extreme importance to me.
4. NS: What are your future plans for your venture?
Reshma: I would like to grow steadily and be known for my work. I want to create my own niche in the handmade industry.
5. NS: How can customers place an order for your products?
Reshma: I have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/symphonywithneedles Most of my work is on my page. I usually customize bags according to my customer’s requirement. You can either contact me by messaging me on by page or you can also WhatsApp me at 9886008383. Soon I plan to have my own website, follow my page for latest updates.
