EZcookbook: Yes we are different because we are 3 in 1. 3 friends, 6 hands, 3 hearts, 3 brains and 3 kitchens. When they all meet at one place with one goal at Ezcookbook, it results into non-stop and versatile blog. Each of us has different expertise in cooking as well as in technology which needs in food blogging. (I.e. each of us has individuality in cooking, photography, marketing, and technology). This way we all learn from each other, execute it to make our blog versatile.
Our blog never stops even if we are on vacation having fun with family or in bed taking rest when sick or busy with kids and guests. Other members are always working on it to keep it going. Within this one year we achieved 1000+ friends, 300+ fan followers and a collection of our very own 450+ recipes.

2. NS: Do you have difference of opinion when working together and how do you resolve it?
EZcookbook: Yes many times we have difference in opinion, but we have one same goal which is betterment of ezcookbook. Constant communication is our key to resolve this problem. From the beginning each of us have a proper schedule to post recipe and we also generate a query list which should be discussed with each other. Once in a week we meet over personally or virtually through conference and discuss them. Even though we have differences in mind we respect each other’s ideas and opinions with open mind. Finally we conclude on decision which is best to improve our blog.

3. NS: What are few qualities needed to be successful blogger?
EZcookbook: Deep interest, passion and basic knowledge for particular subject to start the blog. Patience and consistency to keep it going. Good writing as well as good reading skills to learn and improvise your skill and knowledge for the same subject. Most important thing before publishing a post is to read the content carefully not as an author but as a reader.

4. NS: Which is your favourite cuisine and why?EZcookbook: One of the complicated Questions to answer: We three have different taste buds and likes but on the whole we vote for Indian cuisine as it is simply divine to soul. Since we are born and brought up in India and been grown up looking at Amma’s cooking and tasting the excellent aroma of wide variety of Indian food, which is why our blog has maximum number of Indian recipes. We also love other cuisine which we try occasionally.

5. Do you think technical know-how is needed to be a successful blogger?
EZcookbook: When we started our blog we didn’t know even ABC’s of blogging. But we were keen to learn and execute new things which helped us to grow further. We gained more experience, more confidence and we are still learning everyday taking it as a journey. The secret answer to all new blogger buddies is everything is available via internet whatever you want, just keep your mind open, learn it, adapt it and implement it in your style without copying others.

6. NS: Any tips on cooking for Sakhis.
EZcookbook: It gratifies us to answer this question and this is what we share in our profile too…. “The torch of Love, lit in the kitchen….One and only tip for cooking is Cook from your heart not only with your hands.

7. NS: Do you ever get stuck when writing an entry? What do you do then?
EZcookbook: Most of the entries are recipes which we have already tried and tested. So we never get stuck to write recipes but a few times we get stuck to write basic information of particular recipe or get confused with ingredients names in different language or sometimes working on a food image. First we talk to each other or verify it through internet.

8. NS: Do you promote your blog? What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
EZcookbook: We use social media like Facebook, twitter, Google plus to create visibility and promote our site. Apart from social media we use food blogs community. Because without any medium of communication we can’t step in to success.

EZcookbook: We are writing blog to serve our readers, so yes it is very important to interact with them to know what they are expecting from us. We have 2 kinds of readers. Our fan followers and our colleagues/friends who also write blog. Fan followers’ comments seeking guidance and friends comments to motivate and encourage us. We respond all of them by providing guidance to our fans and commenting back to our friend’s blog to encourage and motivate them.

10. NS: What do you find to be the most gratifying aspect of blogging?

Jayshree founder of cazaro-lingerie

1. NS: Tell us about you and your venture Cazaro?
Jayshree: Cazaro is your personalized solution for lingerie fitting and consulting especially for plus size women. Lingerie market is still in very nascent stage in India, in spite of big brands setting up shops and customers open to experimenting with their purchases. But the gap remains in the market for catering to big sizes, educating about the right fit and the importance of knowing your body!

2. NS: What inspired you choose lingerie line business?
Jayshree: Back In 2006, when I was looking for good fitting lingerie I was not happy with what was available in the market. Then I came across an international brand and I fell in love with it. Post my career in the Airline industry for 9 years I had developed a passion for Lingerie Fittings as I thought this would be a problem with many other women in India, especially finding the right fit. This is how it began. I find myself growing with my brand – Cazaro.

3. NS: Can you please give few tips on how to find the right bra?

Jayshree: Band – Should fit perfectly – not too tight and definitely not loose. A good band ensures you get the best support and this’s essential to avoid the breast bounce factor primarily. Your flab (being an Indian woman you’ve got to have some) should not protrude from the sides, nor should the band leave any marks owing to tightness.
Cup – Breast tissue should be contained here and not spill over especially from the sides. If you feel your breasts are floating, it’s probably a bigger size and you should opt for a smaller one then. Ideally your breasts should be properly packed to forbid any movement at all, which would result as a hindrance in your marathon
Underwire – If present, it should sit in the rib cage and not dig into the breast tissue
Straps – Go for the sports bra in which straps are adjustable. As with any normal bra, these sports bra straps can also be loose and fall off, which is not something you wish to encounter in a marathon run.

4. NS: What are the disadvantages of wearing misfit bra?
Breast Pain
Back Ache
Sagging Breasts
Shoulder and Neck Pain
Blockage of the lymph nodes
Ruin your posture
May trigger breast cancer
Skin abrasions
(More details on my blog

Jayshree’s success mantra
My Success mantra is – be passionate about the work you do as passion is not only a differentiator; it is a difference maker. And if you have the zest to achieve something in life, no one can stop you from reaching your goals. I also believe if there is lack of patience that we keep coming across because we are in the “can’t wait” generation. We tend to give up on things which require us to wait. Most things of lasting value take time and discipline to achieve. Always think positive, optimism can help you get through any hurdle that time throws at you, the choice is yours TO-BE or NOT-TO-BE

Future plans for Cazaro
Future plan is to create fits studio at different location and work towards personal Label Manufacturing.

Kidz Atheneum

Prajkta Malvankar – Kulkarni and her venture Kidz Atheneum
As a mother of 2 cute princesses, the idea of Kidz Atheneum came about when Prajkta’s elder daughter started learning phonics at school. She realised it lacked the support of good quality decodable books to encourage kids to learn to read quickly and easily.

For early readers in particular it is hard to get books at the right level of difficulty. They are not often available in libraries and so parents either have to depend on the books children borrow from school, or purchase them. She was frustrated that there were no suitable reading books at home to help her daughter learn to read & not just learn phonics sounds even if she wants to purchase it in India.
Having spoken to a number of parents with children across different schools in Mumbai, all shared the same problem. Not having quality levelled reading program for kids pushed the children away from reading as they found it tedious.
In UK all schools follow Book band levelled book reading along with phonics to help kids become early readers. Having lived in UK for over 8 years she knew the benefit of reading such books and hence she imported the books from UK for her kids.
She could see a difference in her daughter’s reading ability that at the age of 5.5 years is at Reading level 6, almost at par with the kids in UK.
After importing a few books suited to her daughter’s reading level, she was struck by the expense, especially as they were finished with so quickly. She decided that there had to be a better way to help parents become more involved in their child’s reading development. Passion to do something in the Kids area, she wanted all kids to benefit from this book reading experience which can help parents as well kids enjoy the book reading journey.
So, the idea of Kidz Atheneum was born – to provide easy affordable access to a wide range of new and exciting children’s reading books which are easily available in schools across UK.
Prajkta is a mompreneur, an enthusiastic mother of two cute princesses aged 6 and 3 years. Founder of Kidz Atheneum, she comes to you with over 10 years IT, BPM experience having worked in India and in UK for Top IT/Telecom companies.
After having kids she prioritised her family life over work and since then been involved in all sorts of kids’ activities. She always had a passion to do something in the children’s educational area in India as still there are some gaps compared to western world.
Prajkta has personally selected the books carefully for babies to the 9 year old children and most of them are from her experience of reading with own children.
She hopes you enjoy reading them as much her nieces, daughters and their friends do.
Kidz Atheneum is great for almost anyone with young children learning to read. The books are selected with younger readers in mind, as it is generally more difficult to find suitable reading material for early readers.
Kidz Atheneum has a range of carefully levelled books, perfect for children from when they are first learning to read to when they become fluent readers (reading ages of 4 to 9).
They also have a collection of books for new born babies who can see high contrast black and white images. (0 months to 6 months). There is wide collection of books for infants, toddlers and nursery kids (6 months to 4 years) based on Prajkta’s own experience with her 2 daughters (2.5 y & 5.5 y) who daily enjoy reading and cuddling time with Mumma.

People can join Kidz Atheneum for various reasons:
Schools who want to provide levelled reading books as they teach phonics to the children from Jr KG
Nurseries who want encourage library system for kids from an early age
Educational support organizations (e.g. Phonics Learning) who can supplement their teachings with the book reading to see quicker results.
It is ideal for parents who want to help kick start a love for books from an early age as 1 month old
It is for reluctant readers who might need inspiring books and other incentives, such as stickers and certificates, to get them going again;
It is also ideal for more speedy readers who love reading and just never seem to have enough books at home.
It is also great for children who don’t have access to any school reading library and parents want to encourage book reading at home.

1. NS: How phonics books help children?

Prajkta: Phonics is the relationship between the written letter and its individual sound. Children are taught to recognize sound of each letter, sounds of different combination of letters and how to blend them and make a word. It helps kids read familiar words, analyze new words and write those words.
Books contains phonetic words to make a story. They focus on the sound and/or spelling that the children practice while reading.
Phonics books are decode-able. Decoding is done using the letter phonics sound relationship and letter patterns which encourage children to BLEND and not guess unfamiliar words. Decode-able books develop a self-reliant approach to reading in the beginner readers as they practice the phonics taught in the classroom.
Children experience immediate success and develop confidence and enthusiasm for reading while developing good reading strategies.

2. NS: What is the right age to start with phonics books?
Prajkta: Right age to introduce phonics learning is around 3-3.5 years when the child starts recognizing the alphabets. Once the child has learnt the basics of phonics sounds or Phase 1 phonics, it’s a good idea to introduce them to phonics based reading program books. This helps kids practically implement their learnings of sounds and also kick start early reading. A reading scheme is a structured and levelled set of books with built in revision written specifically to ensure the child can take steady and progressive steps towards reading success. Within each scheme there is a range of books at different levels of difficulty. Children move up through these levels as their reading ability develops.

3. NS: Any advice for parents to develop liking for reading in children?
Prajkta: READING is a vital foundation for educational and life success, it must start early. Reading helps in different ways as kids grow.
For BABIES: Reading can start as early as to a 1-month old baby. Reading aloud to the baby stimulates developing senses and builds listening and memory skills.
For INFANTS: Reading to children even before they can understand words, teaches them to associate books with love and affection.
For TODDLERS: Reading reinforces the understanding of new words the toddlers are learning and the context in which they are read
For PRESCHOOLERS: Reading helps to prepare the foundation or independent reading and academic excellence
SCHOOL CHILDREN: without strong reading skills, children will face a host of difficult challenges through their lives.
So, parents should inculcate this habit early on. You need to just spent 10-15 minutes of your day reading to your child and make this as part of the daily routine. A good bonding time away from gadgets.
4. NS: What are your future plans for your venture?
Prajkta: We currently offer these books only in Thane & Mumbai. We plan to roll this in more cities across India in near future so that more children can benefit from this initiative. We also plan to come up with an End to End Reading program which we can run by tie ups with schools.

5.NS: How can customers contact you for any queries?
Prajkta: They can email, call or WhatsApp me anytime. I am reachable on +919869396695. Or email us on

Prajkta’s success mantra
Success is a journey, not a destination.
Her passion is to bring about change in the way our children learn to read and never give up attitude

Prajkta’s favorites
Color: all colors are beautiful and like different ones based on my mood for the day
Season: Rainy season and the smell of wet sand…
Movie: 3 idiots
Book: the monk who sold his Ferrari
Music: depends on mood

EduPsyche: Dr. Bhavi Mody and Dr. Dhaval Mody

1. NS: Tell us something about you and Edupsyche.
Dr. Bhavi Mody: I have been in practice since 1994, completed my graduation and post-graduation after marriage. Have received a gold medal at graduation.
We started our careers in 1994. Having been together since our educational years we shared the same passion. In our practice we realized the growing issues of chronic ailments especially like Asthma, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Allergies and Endocrinal disorders like Thyroid and PCOS, my interest in these cases lead me to believe the psychosomatic nature of these disease.
Dr. Dhaval saw many patients suffering from Mental Illnesses like Depression, Anxiety and other conditions like Bipolar Disorders and Schizophrenia. Here he saw not only the clients suffering but the significant distress the families of these patients too have to go through.
These experiences were the stepping stones that motivated us to pursue our post-graduation. Dr. Dhaval Pursued in Psychiatry while I pursued in Organon and Philosophy.
We pursed our passions and I specialized in holistic approach to various women and child conditions.
Dr. Dhaval subsequent to his education further went to US for further training.
This further culminated in starting Vrudhi Research Foundation, with a mission to ‘Sculpting Minds Shaping Future’.
Over the years we have been working with over 55000 children across city of Mumbai for supporting those with Academic, Behavioral, Career, Developmental and Emotional needs.
As we grew in our experience and expertise we realized the huge gap between the mental health service providers and those seeking mental health services. We also saw the pain of caregivers of those suffering from chronic mental illness, especially in seeking mental health services and subsequently getting medicines. This gave birth to Edupsyche, our company.

2. NS: When did you first start your venture and how did the idea come about?
Dr. Bhavi Mody: Edupsyche was formed in 2014. Having worked for over a decade for mental health through our various initiatives at Vrudhi, we saw a growing need to ensure mental health delivery system.
Edupsyche was thus born with the prime objective of ‘Remoulding Redefining & Refining Mental Health’.
We wanted to reach out to the population at large and ensure better mental health service delivery across the country. With over a decade of experience in the field, we strongly felt that technology was the only way to take things faster all across the country.
With a huge gap between mental health service providers and those seeking services, Psychologists also too few in the country, mostly unavailable to those placed in geographically isolated areas. With the rising number of youth suicides, rising geriatric population with emotional and cognitive issues and increasing number of mental illness in the corporate employee, we thought of addressing the growing mental health needs of the country.
Edupsyche took up the following challenges associated with Mental Health.
• De-stigmatise and Decatastrophise mental health.
• Imparting right Skills and training to mental health professionals.
• Bridging the gap between Mental Health Professionals and those seeking Mental Health Services.
Our solution to this was- “Mentagram”, a mobile application that would use technology to reach all across the country. We launched Mentagram on 15th April this year.

3. NS: Any advice to women to avoid psychological stress and strain during PPD and Menopause?

Dr. Bhavi Mody: Having a baby is a major Life event. Plan your journey well. Parenting is a 24* 7 job.
If you are well prepared you can handle it well.
Around 80% women have “Baby Blues” and about 10% land with severe PPD (Post-Partum Depression). Cause is not known but the changing hormones maybe a reason to it.
Symptoms of anxiety, stress, depression may crop up in pregnancy itself.
• Identify the symptoms and talk to a therapist. PPD can be managed and treated. Avoided If you nip it in the bud.
• Have realistic expectations from self and others. Do not try to be a super mum. Learn to chill and relax. Seek help from your spouse/mother/mother-in-law/relatives just anybody to do some chores for your baby.
• Get enough sleep- sleep when the baby sleeps.
• Take adequate care of your nourishment and do exercise regularly. It releases the happy hormone- Serotonin. Learn Mindful Breathing and relaxation techniques.
• Talk it out- share your concerns, fears, anxiety, emotions. Join a support group.
• If you still feel you can’t manage don’t shy away from professional help. Mentagram was conceived to help moms like you. If not Mentagram then any place you are comfortable but do seek help.
Just like Motherhood, Menopause is again a phase of life where Hormones are fluctuating. There are many other reasons apart from hormones that lead to depression in menopause.
Like PPD this too needs to be managed in a similar fashion – Identify – Relax – Seek Support- Exercise- Nourish and pamper yourself. Techniques differ in case of menopause. Last but not the least do not shy away from Professional help.

5. You and your husband work together, how do you balance professional life and family life?
We share a strong bond, complement each other well, so for us building this business from a scratch, at a time when both of us were very settled in our practice is a very rewarding and fulfilling experience. We have well defined roles and each one executes it well. It’s good to have your husband around, to guide you and support you. We do have our disagreements but we handle that well. One thing you need to understand right from the start is that your spouse is not in there to let you down. He/She may not agree with you on a certain point, coz you are 2 different individuals and may think differently. The huge plus here is you get two different opinions and rest assured, comes from people who want to grow the company like no one else. We ensure we spend quality time with each other. When you are a startup trying to make your mark this is not easy! There are days when we discuss a lot of work at home too! I do miss our holidays and the time that we earlier spent together but I understand that if the company has to grow we both need to work hard and give a bit more of ourselves to the company. It’s like we are parents again and Mentagram is our baby. Just waiting to see it Grow Big!

You are what you eat and hence it is important to watch out for foods which you place on the plate.Eat plenty of fruits, veggies and make sure you are getting enough of protein and a daily dose of essential vitamins and minerals.A diet rich is vitamin c and omega 3 fatty acids will provide you with glowing skin.Make sure your diet is low on sugar and salt as too much of these can be detrimental for your overall health.Exercise regularly as it is a great way to cleanse your body of all those underlying toxins.Do not forget to have at least 8-10 glasses of water per day as hydration keeps your skin radiant and delays the wrinkle formation process.Last but not the least sleep for good 8 hours ,your skin gets ample time to repair and rejuvenate itself.Say bye bye to stress and keep smiling.

Roshni Fostering Indian art forms

1. NS: Tell us something about you and your venture EthnicChic

Roshni: Hi, I am Roshni Puthukudy. I was always passionate about art and wanted to pursue my passion, whichever possible way I could. Thanks to the defense background, I had been to nine states of India during my schooling and that had given me immense opportunities to learn about the various art forms of those areas. I have been blessed to understand the art of almost all states, though they were all in a superficial level while schooling. The break in the corporate life, after my kids, gave me ample time to take up my passion more seriously. I started EthniiChic in 2014 with intent to foster Indian art forms. EthniiChic is an amalgamation of ethnic art and being chic, hence the name.

EthniiChic is an initiative that brings Indian ethnicity to your homes, in the form of home décor, accessories and apparels that are hand painted or decoupaged. It ranges from Jewel boxes, trays, coasters, tissue boxes, Votive stands, Khullads, Hand mirrors, Lamp shades and Palm leaf fans to Bangles, Neck pieces, Ear rings and much more. There is complete division of hand painted apparels which comprises Sarees, Skirts, Jumpsuits, Kurtas, Waist coats, Dresses etc. Each piece of art is crafted with utmost care and passion. A lot of products are apt for the gifting purpose whether it is for festivals or for special occasions.

2. NS: What advice would you give young women who want to follow a similar career path as you?
Roshni: Believe in yourself and don’t give up in the face of challenges. If you have the talent in you, no one can stop you succeed in achieving your dreams. Things fall in place gradually, but initially only pure dedication & hard work is the mantra for success. Perseverance is essential. It’s altogether a different feeling when you see the product taking shape as you had imagined in your thoughts. As you start your work, I would suggest for a thorough market survey of what works for your products/services.

1. NS: Can anyone experience Psychic Awakening? How can one realize Psychic Awakening?
Truly answering the question yes anyone can experience it. One must only know what to expect during the awakening.
Tingling Sensation or Pressure
you may begin to develop this in the “third eye” area (between the eyebrows), at the crown of the head, or in your chakras. This happens for two reasons:* you are picking up energetic signals * your chakras are opening up
in the beginning stages of development, this sensation can be very strong.
Connection with Spirit
you might find that you are having a stronger connection to the spirit world. In other words, it may become easier for you to sense the presence of Spirit: Your spirit guides, angels, and your own loved ones in heaven.

Desire to be Away from Negativity
you may also find that you are picking up on the emotions and feeling of others quite easily. This is known as being empathic. Because of your sensitivity, you might feel drained being around people who are very negative or dramatic.

Desire to Eat Healthier Foods
you might suddenly be reaching for a salad instead of a junk food! Since you are drawn to vegetables and easy diet. We are all vibrational beings and one vibrates at a higher frequency.

Desire to Learn and Be More Spiritual
Most everyone who experiences a psychic awakening has an appetite to learn. As we open up, we are shedding our old skins and subconsciously remembering the luminance of our soul. To that end, it’s common to want to read everything we can get our hands on, learn as much as possible, and walk a more spiritual path.

Frequent or Vivid Dreams
vivid dreaming, or dreaming more often, is another common symptom of psychic awakening. There are two reasons for this. When you are sleeping, there is no resistance. In other words, your mind is not getting in the way of what you are receiving intuitively. So, during the day you might get a feeling about something and say to yourself, “Hmm, should I trust my gut feeling, or is this just my logical mind?” In the sleep state, that resistance is not present. And don’t worry, this does not necessarily mean that your dreams are premonitions. As you open up, it becomes much easier to access other levels of consciousness, such as the dream state. It’s helpful (and fun!) to start keeping a dream journal near your bed.

Heightened Sensitivity of Your Physical Senses
if you find that your hearing is heightened, you are seeing twinkles of light, or “something” out of the corner of your eye… Congratulations! It means that your psychic senses or “clairs,” are opening up and getting stronger. This is a normal part of the awakening process.

Intuitive “Hits”
Having a sense that something is going to happen or receiving a third eye vision is another sign. For some, this can be very exciting; for others, it’s very frightening. If you are in the latter category:
· set the intention that you will not receive any scary messages or visions.
· Practice using intuitive guidance on yourself as much as possible. This will allow you to become familiar with it; and in time, it will feel natural and comfortable. Tip: You’ll also learn to control your gifts eventually – your psychic ability does not need to be turned “on” at all times.

Headaches :
The headaches are terrible, aren’t they? Unfortunately, they are pretty common. They are caused by the influx of energy. One thing you can do to try to combat this problem is to soak your feet in warm water. This will help bring the energy down to your feet, and away from your head. Feel free to add salts or essential oils to the water.

Losing Friends – Making New Ones
the path of psychic awakening is exciting! Your soul will grow tremendously during this time. You may find that you are outgrowing some friends, and things that were once important to you no longer are. It’s okay; the Universe will put new people in your path. Continue to trust.

2. NS: What advice would you give to women who want to live life full of positive energy?

Shambhavi: Everything in life is very temporary and is a passing phase. Nature is our best teacher. Neither the brightness of the Day nor the darkness of the night is permanent.
A bad time, as we term it is a temporary stillness which allows us to introspect of what lies ahead.
Learn from it instead of mourning over it.

3. NS: What are your future plans for your venture?
Shambhavi: A lot is in store with Tarot for U. The logo is in the process of being registered then there will be certificate courses and more events and workshops lined up.

4. NS: What are the services provided by you and how can they contact you?
