Vegan eggless Omelette

Eggless Omelete is a quick breakfast with masala chai or coffee. With very few ingredients you can make vegan omelette and enjoy with tomato sauce. The recipe of eggless omelette recipe is more closer to the actual egg omelette recipe. also the recipe is prepared very similar conventional omelette recipe. for example the besan and All purpose flour maida is mixed to form a thin batter which is spiced with cabbage, green chillies, tomatoes and coriander. You can sprinkle the finely chopped cabbage, cilantro, tomatoes, green chillies on the pan and then pour the batter. The texture is similar to real omelette.

  • 1 Cup Besan Chickpea flour (बेसन)
  • 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour (मैदा)
  • 1 tsp Baking powder (बेकिंग पाउडर)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Cabbage (पत्ता गोभी)
  • 2 Chopped Green chillis (हरी मिर्च)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Tomatoes (टमाटर)
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Cilantro (धनिया)
  • Salt (नमक)
  • Oil (तेल)


  • In a large mixing bowl take Chickpea flour besan and maida All purpose flour..
  • Add salt, baking powder, turmeric powder to besan and all purpose flour and mix well.
  • Add Water to make a thin batter.
  • Whisk smooth making sure everything is combined and to get fluffy omelette.
  • make sure the batter is smooth flowing consistency.
  • Heat the pan and add oil.
  • Sprinkle chopped cabbage, cilantro, tomatoes and green chillis on the pan. pour a ladle full of batter on the pan.
  • Cook 2-3 minutes on LOW flame.
  • Flip and cook on other side for 2 minutes.
  • finally, fold and serve no onion no garlic veg eggless omelette with tomato sauce
  • Alternatively you can add cabbage, cilantro, tomatoes, spices to the batter and add ladel ful to the pan


  • Beat the batter well to make soft and fluffy textured omelette like egg omelette.
  • Adding green chilli is completely optional, if you do not prefer the spice. or you can add black pepper.
  • additionally, you can add cabbage, tomato, cilantro to  the batter  and pour a ladlelful to make omelette.
  • finally, adding baking powder is very important to prepare veg eggless omelette.
