How to make primer at home

Everyone wants that spray makeup artists are raving about, but its usually sold out in minutes or the $32 price tag stops them from buying it. The primer water, made by Smashbox, claims to give the benefits of priming, hydration, and sheer radiance in a few mists. This enriched water instantly absorbs into skin for lasting hydration, leaving skin looking refreshed and ultra soft while it locks in makeup. The mist can also be used as a makeup setting spray to set and extend the wear of your makeup.

After a bit of searching around, I came across a couple homemade primer waters by makeup artists and decided to test the formula. And now, this DIY primer water is an essential in my makeup kit. It will make your foundation glide smoothly on your skin and let your makeup last all day long while hydrating and toning your skin. This water is also suitable for people with acne prone skin because of its natural and anti bacterial ingredients.

Whether you want your foundation to smoothen up or powder to blend on your skin, this DIY primer water does the job. Just hold 8–10 inches from face and mist over skin before and/or after makeup application. Reapply throughout the day to refresh as needed.
