The combination of cucumber, mint ginger, flavored with cumin seeds,salt, sugar and lemon juice is the perfect drink for a hot day. Minty cucumber cooler is good during summer time and it is low calorie drink. Cucumber is a low calorie food.

How to make minty cucumber cooler.

Ingredients 

2 cups chopped cucumber 2 कप कटा हुआ खीरा
7- 8 mint leaves 7-8 पुदीने के पत्ते
¼ teaspoon roasted cumin seed powder 1/4 चम्मच जीरा पाउडर
1 inch ginger peeled 1 इंच अदरक
Salt to taste नमक स्वादानुसार
1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 चम्मच नींबू का रस
3 tablespoons rock sugar 3 बड़े चम्मच मिश्री
1/4 tsp black pepper powder 1/4 चम्मच काली मिर्च पाउडर
Ice cubes to serve
water or lemon soda

Method
Clean and peel cucumber and chop into rough pieces.
In a blender, puree the cucumber, mint, rock sugar, cumin seed powder, ginger,salt, pepper powder.
Strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl. U
Use the spoon to press the solids to take out all the juice.
Fill the glasses with ice cubes and pour the cucumber drink 3/4 glass.
Add water or lemon soda.
Squeeze fresh lemon and garnish with mint leaves.
Cucumber cooler is ready to be served. Enjoy!

Grind saunf, soak it in water overnight along with black raisins and drink that water ion the morning after straining, It is very cooling and lowers cholestrol also.

8. Buttermilk with corriander and cumin seed powder is cooling to the body. Never drink buttermilk after 7 pm. Avoid butter milk during winter season.

9. Soak Green gram overnight and grind it in morning, strain it and drink. You can add salt for taste, it is a drink which cools body. You can have it everyday in empty stomach.

10. Ragi /Nachni (finger millet in english) works like cooling agent for body and highly rich in fibre. Good and healthy food for diabetics too. Ragi can taken as Ragi malt (soup), with butter milk, Ragi sangati, Ragi dosa and ragi idli etc. The best and quick making of ragi is Ragi jawa.

Boil 2 glasses of water in a vessel.

In 1/4cup cold water mix 4tbsp of ragi flour without lumps

Slowly add this to boling water and mix well.

Add salt and boil in simmer for 4-5mins.

Off the flame and cool it down

Mix one full glass of butter milk and serve..

  • 2 tbsp. cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 2 tbsp. carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 2 tbsp. fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 2 tbsp. dill seeds (suva dana)
  • 1 tbsp. fenugreek (methi) seeds
  • 1 tsp rock salt
  • 1 tsp black salt (sanchal)/ Himalayan pink salt
  • 2 tsp asafoetida (hing)

Method 

  1. Heat a pan on low medium heat, add the carom seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, dill seeds and fenugreek seeds and dry roast on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from the flame, add the hing.
  3. Let it cool down for 10 minutes and then add salt.
  4. Blend in a mixer to a smooth powder.
  5. Store in an airtight container.
  6. Take 1/2-1 tsp after meal with warm water or if necessary anytime.

Cardamom 1/2 tsp

pinch of nutmeg
Sweeteners of your choice like sugar, honey, dates

Method:

Ingredients
1 cup of sugar 1 कप चीनी
½ cup water आधा कप पानी
5-6 cloves powder ½ tsp
½ tsp cloves powder (5-6 cloves) 1/2 छोटा चम्मच लौंग पाउडर
1 tbsp dry ginger powder 1 बड़ा चम्मच सोंठ का चूर्ण
2 tsp of lemon juice 2 चम्मच नींबू रस
½ tbsp. licorice powder (optional) 1/2 बड़ा चम्मच जेठीमध
2 tbsp of honey 2 बड़े चम्मच शहद
Powdered sugar 2 tbsp optional
1 tsp Cinnamon powder for dusting optional.

Method: 
Take a thick bottom or non-stick pan.
Add Sugar and water. Keep the flame on high. Keep stirring.
Add cloves powder, dry ginger powder or fresh ginger.
After 5 minutes keep the gas stove on low.
Add lemon juice.
Keep stirring until you get dropping consistency.
It will take about 15- 20 minutes .
After removing from gas stove add licorice powder and honey.
Place a butter paper and drop the liquid on butter paper with spoon in a candy shape.
Let it dry for 20-25 minutes.
Sprinkle powdered sugar to avoid candies sticking to each other.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature once they are cooled down.

Turmeric Ginger Tea

Ginger turmeric tea helps to loose weight, release body aches and pain, release cough and cold.

Soak Turmeric and ginger in water for 30 minutes to remove all soil. It becomes easier to peel off the skin also.
Peel off the skin.
Cut into thin slices.
Boil water
Add turmeric and ginger slices.
Boil for 2-3 minutes.

You can squeeze few drops of fresh lemon juice
Add Sweeteners of your choice. Honey goes well with turmeric ginger tea.

Blend it and pass through the strainer.

Method 
Clean grapes, ginger and mint leaves with water.
Remove ginger skin.
Add Black grapes, ginger, mint leaves, salt, sugar, cumin seed powder in blend.
Grind to make a smooth paste.
Sieve with a juice strainer .
Fill the serving glasses 1/2 with this syrup.
Add some crushed ice and then pour aerated lemon drink to fill the glass.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.
