Tutti fruity (papaya candy) is often used in making cakes, cookies, and ice cream. Homemade tutti fruity is fresh and tasty.
• Raw papaya
• Sugar 2 cups
• Color of your choice
• Essence – vanilla
DIY Tutti Fruity Prep
Wash papaya, peel the skin, remove seeds and chop finely.
Blanch the papaya pieces:
Boil water and add papaya pieces to boiling water and let it boil for 3-4 minutes.
Turn off the gas and cover and keep papaya pieces in water for another 5 minutes.
Drain the water.
Cook blanched papaya pieces in sugar syrup:
Take sugar in a pan and add water and cook on medium flame until sugar dissolves in water completely.
Add papaya pieces in sugar syrup now and cook until sugar syrup have one thread consistency.
And they will become soft and transparent.
Turn off the gas let it cool down and add 1 tsp of vanilla essence in syrup coated papaya pieces.
Coloring Tutti Fruity:
Equally divide the papaya pieces into how many colors you have.
Add color in each bowl and sugar coated papaya pieces along with sugar syrup in each bowl.
Now keep these papaya pieces soaked in color and sugar syrup aside for 12-15 hours so that they get sweet and colored properly.
After 12-15 hours take out the pieces form sugar syrup and place them on a wire rack or net placed on top of the plate.
Extra sugar syrup will get drained out and keep the papaya pieces until the stickiness dries up completely.
Store the tutti fruity in any container in the refrigerator. Use it when needed.

1 Cup Semolina/Idli Rawa 1 कप सूजी / इडली रवा
3/4 cup Jaggery or Sugar 3/4 कप गूड या चीनी
1 cup Cucumber grated 1 कप ककड़ी कद्दूकस
1/4 tsp cardamom powder 1/4 टीस्पून इलायची पाउडर
2 tbsp chopped dry fruits 2 बड़े चम्मच कटा हुआ सुखा मेवा
1/4 tsp Salt 1/4 चम्मच नमक
1 tsp ghee/ butter 1 चम्मच घी /बटर
Clean, peel cucumber and grate.
Mix cucumber and all the ingredients except semolina.
Take ghee in a pan and roast semolina for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
Add semolina to cucmber, jaggery mix.
Mix it well, cover and keep it aside for 30-45 minutes.
After 45 minutes you can add little bit of water to get the right consistency.
Preheat oven, grease pan with ghee or butter.
Add cucumber mix in to the pan and bake at 350 degree f for 30-45 minutes.
Serve warm with tea or Milk.
Alternatively you can grease pan and steam the cake for 45 minutes.
Mango Popsicle are healthy and easy to make. Perfect dessert for kids. No artificial flavors and you can control sugar
How to make Mango Popsicle
1 1/2 cup milk 1 1/2 कप दूध
3 tbsp Sugar 3 चम्मच चीनी
Pinch of saffron चुटकी भर केशर
1/4 tsp cardamom powder 1/4 टीस्पून इलायची पाउडर
2 medium sized mangoes pulp 2 मध्यम आकार के आम पल्प
Clean and peel off the mango.
Collect mango pulp in the bowl.
Boil Milk on low medium heat.
Add saffron and cardamom powder.
Boil for 15-20 minutes until it is thick and creamy.
Allow the milk to cool down to room temperature.
Blend mango and milk.
Pour the liquid in the Popsicle molds .
freeze Popsicle for 6-8 hours
*** If it is difficult to take out Popsicle from the mold then run warm water on the molds for few seconds.
If you dont want to use dairy you can use coconut milk or almond milk. You dont have to boil almond milk.
Enjoy healthy and easy to make pineapple mango sundae. It has goodness of pineapple, mango, yogurt, dry fruits.
1 cup chopped pineapple 1 कप कटा हुआ अनानास
1 cup chopped mangoes 1 कप कटा आम
1/3 tsp cardamom powder 1/3 टीस्पून इलायची पाउडर
1 tsp Sugar 1 चम्मच चीनी
¼ cups water ¼ कप पानी
4 tbsp yogurt 4 चम्मच दही
1 tbsp of honey 1 बड़े चम्मच शहद
3 tbsp chopped dry fruits 3 बड़े चम्मच कटा हुआ सूखा मेवा
2 tbsp chopped dates 2 बड़े चम्मच कटे हुए खजूर
1 cup chopped mangoes 1 कप कटा आम
2 tbsp sweetened coconut 2 चम्मच मीठा नारियल
Clean and chop pineapple into pieces.
Keep pan on low medium heat, add pineapple cubes.
Add sugar, cardamom powder, water and cook for 18-20 minutes.
Once it is cooked let it cool down completely.
Chop mangoes, dry fruits.
Take glass to serve.
Add layer of pineapple, yogurt, honey, dry fruits, mangoes and then repeat the same layers.
Top it with sweetened coconut.
You can use sweet cream or ice cream instead of yogurt.
Mango Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt based drink from the Indiaa. Main ingredients in recipe are mangoes, yogurt. I have used dates in place of sugar.
This Mango lassi recipe is very quick and easy, I have used alphonso mango in this recipe.
How to make mango lassi
1. Peel and chop mangoes.
2. Soak few strands of saffron in water for 10 minutes.
3. Blend yogurt, mango, and dates, cardamom seed powder, saffron soaked in water and taste before adding more sugar. How much sugar is used depends on the sweetness of the mango and the yogurt.
4. If it is thick, add some water to desired consistency. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with dry fruits, ice cream and chocolate sauce. . Tips
Take ripe mangoes and yogurt should not be too sour. Use fresh yogurt
Adjust ingredient quantities depending on the sweetness of the mango and the sweetness and thickness of the yogurt.
Make sure mangoes are ripe and not fibrous.
How to Make Mango puree for babies
Mango is healthy, tasty and easy to make mango puree. It helps to release constipation, improve digestion antd build immune system.
Make sure mango is ripe enough.
Clean mango and cut the top portion where mango is attached to the tree.
Remove the skin.
Collect mango meat in a bowl.
Add it to the blender.
Pass it to the strainer and serve.
You can add spices like cinnamon, cardamom powder, dry ginger, etc.
You can store mango puree in the freezer and add to rice, oats, smoothies, etc.
How to Make Banana Puree for Babies
Banana is powder food for babies. You can make banana puree on the go.
Pinch of cardamom powder
Take banana, peel off, cut into slices and mash with a fork or a masher.
Add Milk as desired.
Add pinch of turmeric.
Avoid using water to thin banana puree.
Avoid giving water to baby immediately after feeding banana.
Mothers Milk is best to be used but you can use regular milk. ‘
Start with 1-2 spoon of baby food first 2 days and then gradually increase the quantity.
2 tbsp Jaggery/chocolate/coconut
2 बड़े चम्मच गूड
2 tbsp Sesame seeds
2 बड़े चम्मच तिल
1/4 cup Dry fruits mix
1/4 कप सुखा मेवा कुटा हुआ
Melt Jaggery in a pan on a low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Add little bit of water if necessary.
Melt jaggery until it boils.
Roast sesame seeds for 4-5 minutes on low heat.
Clean and cut dates, remove seed.
Slit the dates on one side so you can stuff dry fruits and reseal them.
Stuff dry fruits mix into dates.
Seal dates lightly.
Dip dates in jaggery mix and coat dates with jaggery on all sides.
Sprinkle sesame seeds or crushed peanuts on top.
You can store this in fridge for 2 weeks.
Pumpkin is good for eyes and also helps to boost immunity system. Pumpkin Pudding kheer has milk, nuts which makes it more healthier.
How to make pumpkin Kheer
Pumpkin Grated 1 cup कद्दू 1 कप
Ghee/Vegan Butter 1 tsp घी 1 चम्मच
Dry fruits 1 tbsp सूखा मेवा 1 बड़ा चम्मच
Milk/Almond /Coconut milk 1 cup
दूध / बादाम / नारियल का दूध 1 कप
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
इलायची पाउडर 1/4 चम्मच
Sugar as pe taste चीनी स्वादानुसार
Clean, remove skin and grate pumpkin.
Take a pan and add ghee.
After few seconds, add grated pumpkin and saute for few minutes until it is reduced in quantity and raw smell is reduced.
Add Milk, stir well.
Add dry fruits, sugar and mix well.
Cover and cook for another 12- 15 minutes until milk is reduced to half.. Make sure you stir it every 5 minutes.
Once it is done add cardamom powder.
Serve at room temperature or cold.
Roasted chana dal ladus are healthy and easy to make.I am sharing my mothers recipe. Ingredients
Roasted chana dal 1 cup
भुना हुआ चना दाल 1 कप
Jaggery 3/4 cup गूड 3/4 कप
Ghee or vegan butter 2 tsp
घी 2 चम्मच
cardamom seed powder 1/4 tsp
1/4 टीस्पून इलायची पाउडर
Dry fruits mix optional 2 tbsp
2 चम्मच सुखा मेवा कुटा हुआ
Blend roasted chana dal into fine powder.
Take ghee or vegan butter in the pan.
Add chana dal flour.
Roast on a low flame for 5-7 minutes or until slight color has been changed and roasted aroma is released.
Take in a bowl.
Add dry fruits mix, cardamom seed powder, jaggery and mix well.
Roll into laddos when the mixture is warm.
If the consistency is not right you can warm up little bit of ghee or butter and add to the mix.
This can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 weeks.
Dry fruits will add more nutrients to this ladus.
If you delay the ladu rolling process then it will be difficult to roll ladus so you can place the mixture into pan and warm up for 1-2 minutes which will make it easier to roll.
How to make peanuts ladu
The preparation of Peanut ladoo takes only 20 -25 minutes of your time. This recipe is a kind of high nutritious recipe. There are only 2 main ingredients used in this peanut laddu recipe. Jaggery contains iron and peanuts have proteins.
Peanuts (मूंगफली) roasted peeled 1 cup
Jaggery (गुड़) 1/2 cup
1/3 tsp cardamom powder( इलायची पाउडर)
Roast peanuts and peel off the skin
Add roasted peanuts and cardamom seed powder to the blender and blend for few seconds.
Add Jaggery and blend again.
Mix it in the bowl.
Roll into laddus.
* If you cannot roll ladus then add 2 tsp of warm ghee or butter.
