Mango Lassi is a popular traditional yogurt based drink from the Indiaa. Main ingredients in recipe are mangoes, yogurt. I have used dates in place of sugar.
This Mango lassi recipe is very quick and easy, I have used alphonso mango in this recipe.
How to make mango lassi
Mango chopped 2 cup आम 1 कप कटा हुआ
Yogurt 1 cup
दही 1 कप
2 tsp Sugar
1 चम्मच चीनी
3-4 saffron strands optional
3-4 केसर स्ट्रेंड्स
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
¼ टीस्पून इलायची पाउडर
Chocolate sauce 2 tbsp. optional
चॉकलेट सॉस 2 चम्मच
Ice cubes as required
बर्फ की क्यूब्स
Cashews, Almonds, Pistachio, raisins
काजू, बादाम, पिस्ता, किशमिश
1. Peel and chop mangoes.
2. Soak few strands of saffron in water for 10 minutes.
3. Blend yogurt, mango, and dates, cardamom seed powder, saffron soaked in water and taste before adding more sugar. How much sugar is used depends on the sweetness of the mango and the yogurt.
4. If it is thick, add some water to desired consistency. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with dry fruits, ice cream and chocolate sauce. .
Take ripe mangoes and yogurt should not be too sour. Use fresh yogurt
Adjust ingredient quantities depending on the sweetness of the mango and the sweetness and thickness of the yogurt.
Make sure mangoes are ripe and not fibrous.
